The first class will explore drafting a 3-piece basque, cutting and assembling it, and also cutting and assembling a panty for a tutu. This class will include a digital panty pattern in two sizes. A sizing chart can be found on the panty pattern item in our online store.
This class is the perfect foundation to learn the art of tutu making. This tutu panty pattern gets rave reviews from the professional dancers that wear our tutus, so don't miss this opportunity to get a sample of the pattern and make your own!

This is the second part of the 3-part tutu construction webinar. In this class, we will review the method Halsey Onstage uses to quickly cut many yards of net for tutus. We will also learn how to dye netting to create a watercolor and ombre effects.

Other subjects covered in this class will include the different ways a hoop casing can be sewn, and which supplies are adequate to create a tutu hoop. We will also explore the many ways the netting can be ruffled or pleated for a tutu depending on different shop and home set ups.

In the final part of the 3-part tutu construction we will cover how to attach the netting to the panty to create different silhouettes, how to add the hoop, attach the basque, and tack the tutu. This segment of the class will feature an extended Q&A session at the end for any questions you have about tutu construction or costuming in general.
